Meet John Heller
John and Rhonda Heller have been married for 14 years and have been blessed with three children, Allison (10), Henry (8) and Mikayla (4). John and his family moved to Orange City in 2012, when he became President of Northwestern Bank of Orange City and Sheldon.The Heller family truly enjoys Northwest Iowa with all of the activities in the area for young families and because of deep roots of faith in the communities.
A native of Dunlap, Iowa, John's parents operated a service station and convenience store. He always worked for farmers throughout his school years and enjoyed working in the agriculture sector. That interest led him to attend Iowa State, where he earned an Ag Business degree with an emphasis on finance. He has now been in the banking industry for more than 20 years.
An active community and church volunteer, John has been a firefighter for 21 years and is a member of the Orange City Fire Department. He followed in the footsteps of his father, who was a firefighter for more than 40 years in Dunlap.
What is your favorite part of your job at Northwestern Bank?
I truly enjoy coming to work every day at Northwestern Bank and working with my fellow team members. It is a great atmosphere and we have fun while working hard for our customers best interests.
What do you like to do for fun?
Our family enjoys being outdoors playing sports and playing cards inside on a rainy day.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I once owned a horse that I broke to ride while attending Iowa State University.
