Meet Penny Buss

When did you become a part of Northwestern Bank? 

I came to work at Northwestern Bank in 2012 when a few ladies I knew who worked at NWB told me that there was a job opening. I applied, and the rest is history! One pivotal moment in my career at Northwestern Bank was when I was able to understand how the business of banking functions.

What's your favorite part about working at NWB? 

My favorite part of the job is building a relationship with not only the customers, but also with my coworkers – we truly are like family, going through life together and supporting one another. Northwestern Bank has the great quality of committing to the community and their customers.

What do you like to do outside of the bank? 

My dad is retired Navy, so I grew up living in various places – Hawaii, Virginia, Chicago and Texas. My son, Hunter and I love living in Northwest Iowa because we still have many opportunities to go to activities in Omaha, Sioux Falls, and Minneapolis for games and shopping. We love to going to baseball games, traveling, and spending time with friends.

One thing left on our bucket list is to go to Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts!
