Highlights From Orange City's 78th Tulip Festival
May 29, 2018
What began in 1936 as a small celebration of Orange City's Dutch heritage has led to 78 years of what is now known as the Tulip Festival.
The internationally recognized Festival features music and dancing by children and adults in authentic Dutch costumes, daily parades, night show , a carnival midway, Dutch delicacies, delicious food, plus thousands of tulips and a dozen replica windmills throughout! This year's celebration occurred on May 17-19.
Our Orange City bank is located in the middle of the Tulip Festival, directly on the parade route. It's a fun and busy time, especially for our employees that have children who participate in Dutch Games, Dutch Dancing, Marching Band, or riding on floats in the parade.
Here are a few memories of NWB enjoying the festivities and participating in our community:
Jenn Leusink (Ag & Commercial Loan Specialist) with her daughter, Maelyn
Chad Hofmeyer ( Ag Loan Officer) with his boys, Colby and Kinnick
Hunter Buss (son of Penny Buss, Teller)
Emily Moret (PR Specialist) with her daughter, Raya
