According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, the Dog Days of Summer are traditionally the 40 days beginning July 3 and ending August 11, which coincide with the dawn rising of the Sirius, the Dog Star.

At Northwestern Bank, we took the phrase “Dog Days” literally! We invited everyone to bring their dogs to the bank, take a picture like a celebrity, get some attention from our employees, and take home treats. Revival Animal Health in Orange City even donated a doggie essentials gift basket for one of the lucky dogs that came to visit us!
